Information Sheet and Commonly Asked Questions


Engagment Photos

An engagment sitting is included in your wedding package. Please be sure to schedule your sitting at least 2 months prior to your wedding. You will be presented with digital proofs ( a CD of images) of the sitting.
One 11 x 14 framed print will be presented to you on the day of your wedding.

Equipment
Top of the line High Resolution Nikon Digital Equipment. No film is used but is available upon request.
Backup equipment is always present should there be a problem. Because there are always two photographers present there is always more than enough equipment.

Negatives

Do I get to Keep The Negatives?
While I let you keep the printed proofs I do not include the full size digital proofs. I do offer a buy out of the digital proofs.

What are the benefits to having Kate Connolly Photography keep the negatives?
I offer very reasonable rates on reprints and you will be getting the finest quality prints for your money. By having us keep the negatives it will also ensure safe archiving of your most precious memories.



Online Albums
I am a member of pictage, an online picture album provider and lab. Your even will be posted online and you will be provided with a username and password for your event that you can release to your guests.


Overtime

My fee for overtime is $175 per hour. This pays for both photographers to stay and for the extra proofs that will be taken

Payment Policy
Standard payment policy is a 50% deposit upon booking. The balance is due 1 week prior to your wedding date.
The deposit is taken in order to hold this date for your event. The deposit is non refundable if event is canceled any less than 60 days prior to the event.
I accept paypal or personal check.

Indvidual payment plans may be set up if needed.


Professional Prints
All prints are made on archival quality paper processed through reputable pro labs.
All proofs are printed on semi gloss photo paper. Samples of paper types will be provided to you when choosing final prints and albums.

Proofs
For an event based on 6 to 8 hours I promise at least 600 proofs. A shorter even may be slightly less, and there will almost always be more! I believe in printing all proofs.
In todays digital world it seems no one prints their images any more. It is always nice to have a tangible item to hold.

All proofs will be printed as 4 x 6. They are presented to you in either a proof box or bounded book.

Your proofs will be ready approximately 2 weeks after your event.



Retouching

All proofs are very lightly retouched. All final prints for albums and enlargements will be fully retouched to the liking of both the client and photographer. There will be a small charge for special retouching requests.

Studio Portraits
Studio portraits are always available. Please make an appointment at least 2 weeks prior to desired sitting date. I tend to get busy during peak wedding season so the earlier you book the better!










Travel
I am willing to travel ANYWHERE. There will be a travel feeof 1$ per mile for any event taking place outside of a 40 mile radius of my zip code 90046. (Destination weddings fees are based on amount of travel time involved.)

Will you be the photographer who photographs our wedding?
Of course! I will never send anyone else.

How do I dress for a wedding?
I tend to dress “business casual” for my weddings. I believe in being comfortable and casual while maintaining a classy look.

How many years of experience do you have as a wedding photographer?
Three years

Will we need to meet prior to the wedding?
A meeting is not mandatory, however I do suggest that we get together to go over the details of the day.
